A video exhibition “Dachless” Between worlds. Leaving a Hasidic Community — A Story Through Dance.
Shendl Copitman

This interdisciplinary photo and video project examines the lives of individuals who have partially or fully left a Hasidic community. While some have ceased all observances and others still retain certain practices, Hasidic philosophy, values, and modes of thinking remain deeply embedded within them. This project explores their transition into secular society—a transition marked by personal rupture, loss of familial connection, and the search for belonging.
